Couch Companion: Seahawks vs. Chiefs

Here are your tips for Friday's pre-season game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Series: The Chiefs are 0-4 in their short preseason history versus Seattle. The clubs last met in preseason action on Aug. 29, 2009 when Seattle won a 14-10 contest behind two TD passes from QB Matt Hasselbeck.

AFC West Sneak Peak:
The
San Diego Chargers (2-0) are the only undefeated team in the division so far in the preseason with wins over Green Bay and Dallas. The Chargers are a three-point underdog this week to the Minnesota (0-2) as they play their first contest away from Qualcomm Stadium on Friday night.

On Saturday, the Detroit Lions (1-1) make the trip to the west coast and Oakland Alameda-County Coliseum as they visit the Oakland Raiders (0-2). The Carson Palmer led Raiders are 0-3 versus Detroit since 2001 and are three-point underdogs to the Lions.

Rounding things out on this all-important third week of the preseason on Sunday has the Denver Broncos (1-1) taking on the San Francisco 49ers (1-1) in a nationally televised contest on FOX at 3pm. The Broncos are a two-point favorite in a game that features a 49er’s offensive line and Denver defensive line that have struggled thus far in the preseason.
