Rookie quarterback
Russell Wilson
cemented his position as the starting signal-caller for Pete Carroll’s Seahawks as he led Seattle (3-0) to a dominating 44-14 win over Kansas City in Arrowhead Stadium Friday.
BR>The third-round pick from Wisconsin who was battling free agent signee
Matt Flynn
ran for 58-yards and threw for 158-yards and two touchdowns as Seattle scored on their first six possessions and put the game away after two quarters.
It was the second consecutive lackluster effort for the Chiefs who fell to 1-2 in the preseason. Wilson’s counterpart
Matt Cassel
was 19-34 for 168-yards and a score as well as an interception that
Earl Thomas
returned for a touchdown.
Both teams wrap up the preseason on Thursday as Seattle travels to Oakland while Kansas City goes on the road to Green Bay.

Minnesota Vikings

The Chargers remained unblemished in the exhibition season with a 12-10 win over Minnesota in Minneapolis thanks to a
Nick Novak
45-yard field goal as time expired. Both offenses struggled, as San Diego starter Phillip Rivers didn’t see the field and second-year quarterback
Christian Ponder
continued to try and find his way in the Minnesota system.
The game was even from kickoff to final whistle as the two teams were separated by a little more than a minute in time of possession and less than 80-yards in total offense.
San Diego wraps up the preseason on the road Thursday at San Francisco while the Vikings pack their bags for a trip to Houston.
Oakland Raiders

Detroit Lions

Oakland (1-2) picked up their first win of the preseason with a 31-20 win over Detroit (1-2) on Saturday.
Carson Palmer
turned in another topsy-turvy performance looking good at times and poor at others. Palmer finished the game 17-26 for 181-yards before being replaced in the third quarter by
Terrelle Pryor
.
Darren McFadden
rushed nine-times for 27-yards and a touchdown. Rookie wide receiver
Juron Criner
(5th round out of Arizona) was the offensive star for Oakland snaring two balls for 115-yards and two touchdowns.
The Lions take on Buffalo while the Raiders wrap up the preseason versus Seattle.
San Francisco 49ers
29 -
Denver Broncos
24
Peyton Manning
threw two early touchdown passes staking the Broncos to an early 17-0 lead but Denver couldn’t hold on in a 29-24 loss to San Francisco on Sunday.
Manning threw both strikes to
Eric Decker
in the first quarter and finished 10-12 for 122-yards. The Broncos threw for 100 more yards threw the air than San Francisco but did not move the scoreboard in the second half as the 49ers outscored Denver 19-0 in the final two quarters.
