Open your ears! You’re about to hear the Voice of the Fan. This week three lucky members of our Warpaint Illustrated.com forums voice their opinion on KC’s kicking situation, tickets to Arrowhead Stadium, and the future of the Chiefs. Listen up!

True or False: The Chiefs have not done enough to address the kicking situation this offseason.

False. Picking up an un-drafted free agent was about all they could do after Josh Brown signed elsewhere. Unless they wanted a near 40-year-old Elam, or to draft a kicker as early as round five, un-drafted was about as good as the Chiefs could have done.

Maybe the Chiefs should have drafted a kicker instead of tight end Mike Merritt in the seventh round, but who's to say such a player would be any better than Connor Barth? Between Barth and free-agent pickups, I think the Chiefs have a serviceable crew until we have less dire needs. Then we can draft a decent kicker or find one via free agency.

Keenan – Auburn, IL.

True or False: A ticket to a game at Arrowhead Stadium is still one of the best deals in the NFL.

True: I live in Tennessee and drove up to attend my first game at Arrowhead last December. The atmosphere was great and the place wasn't even packed. I think you all know where this team was in December. Even still, this was one of the best experiences in my life.

So, if I can have the time of my life in an unpacked stadium after an eight-hour drive and not worry about the ticket price, then it must be a great deal. I will be back annually and hope to meet some of the people from Warpaint Illustrated.

Chad – Lexington, TN.

True or False: The Chiefs have the potential to be one of the best teams in the NFL in four years.

True. The talent is here to be good in a couple of years. Hopefully the coaching won't hold us back. I'm confident in Gailey, but I fear Herm, through Curl, will ruin Croyle by continuing to try and reign in the gunslinger in him.

Also, Herm has to let Gunther coach his kind of defense - aggressive, balls to the wall, rather than passive, like Herm seems to prefer (Editor’s note: Gunther will see you in his office after class for detention). The talent is here, hopefully the coaching won't hinder their development.

Mark – Brooklyn, NY.
