The Kansas City Chiefs have reached a three-year, $1.21 million deal with seventh-round pick K Ryan Succop. According to a league source, the deal included a signing bonus of $25,000.

Succop, the final pick in the 2009 NFL draft, will challenge Connor Barth for the starting kicker job in training camp.

The team announced that they waived LS Thomas Gafford, WR C.J. Jones, DT T.J. Jackson, and LB Darrell Robertson on Friday.

Gafford played in nine games as Kansas City’s long snapper in 2008, while Jackson saw duty in four games for the Chiefs a year ago.
