Chiefs Sign Alex Magee And Quinten Lawrence

The Kansas City Chiefs have reached contract agreements with two more players from their 2009 draft class. According to a league source, third-round pick DE Alex Magee and sixth-round pick WR Quinten Lawrence were the latest to agree to deals.

Terms of Magee's deal weren't immediately available, but it's believed he agreed to a three-year deal.

The former Purdue University defensive lineman stands a good chance of not only making the team's final roster, he could vie for playing time on game days due to their lack of depth at defensive end.

Lawrence, out of McNeese St. University, signed a three-year, $1.275 million deal that includes a signing bonus of just over $90,000.

Lawrence is expected to compete for roster spot as the team's fifth or sixth receiver. Recommended Stories
