Scout.com has learned Kansas City Chiefs LB Derrick Johnson is
expected to sign his restricted free-agent tender in the coming days.
Johnson, a first-round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, was tendered at the original draft round level, which is $1.226 million. However, according to the CBA, he had the option of taking 110 percent of the previous year's salary of $2.25 million. So, his salary will be $2.475 million.
Johnson has appeared in 74 games for the Chiefs and has started 61.
