| The Oakland Raiders selected Louisville RB Michael Bush in the 4th Round (#100 overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft.
Rotated into the starting line-up as a freshman and sophomore, then
became the team’s feature runner in ‘05. Played one-half of football
last season before breaking his leg. Had a rod inserted into his tibia
during the surgical procedure to repair his injury. Totaled 17/128/3
on the ground. Posted career-rushing marks of 205/1,143/23 as a
junior.
Pos:
Big, powerful ball carrier with terrific football instincts.
Patient, waits for blocks to develop and makes defenders miss in a
small area. Slides through the open creases of the offensive line, has
a slashing style and is tough to bring down. Powerful, puts his
shoulders into defenders and carries the pile for extra yardage. Picks
up blocking assignments and displays awareness in pass protection.
Possesses soft hands as a pass catcher.
Neg:
Runs with an upright style and is prone to taking a lot of hard
hits. Suffered with minor nicks and bruises during his sophomore and
junior campaigns. Does not take his conditioning seriously, and tires
over the course of the game. |
